Friday Gatherings

Our Friday worship gatherings

have been postponed until further notice

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), our Friday worship gatherings have been temporarily cancelled until further notice. Gathering is an essential component of our life together as a church and to temporarily suspend those meetings is a significant grief. We did not come to this decision lightly, but it did come with complete unity amongst the elders as it seemed to be the wisest step at this time.

We maintain that upholding the preaching of the Word of God is central to our identity and commitments as a church. Thus, we will be providing a weekly broadcast or upload something similar in content to our weekly Friday services and encouraging all our members and friends to receive that and to continue to sit under the teaching of the Bible and lift up our praise to the Lord.

We will let you know in the coming days how this will look and ways for you and your family and friends to engage with it.

Friday Gatherings

Fridays are the primary time we gather corporately to worship God. Our goal in our gatherings is to follow God's instruction for worship as seen in the Bible. We aim to pray through God's word, sing songs based on God's word, read God's word, preach God's word, and to see God's greatest act in His word (the gospel) displayed in the Lord's Supper. We also spend time in conversation and prayer together. It's the highlight of our week to join together in worship of our great God.

During a typical worship gathering we will:

  • Sing
We sing both contemporary and traditional Christian songs of praise to God that center on the gospel and the work that Jesus accomplished on the cross.

  • Pray
At Redeemer Church of Dubai, we spend time in prayer praising God, confessing our sin, and praying for our members and governing authorities.

  • Preach
We preach the Bible as the authoritative Word of God. Our sermons aim to build up Christians in their faith and encourage non-Christians to consider Jesus.

  • Engage
As Christians we believe in a personal God who knows us intimately and so we want to follow him in building relationships with those inside and outside the church.

Everything that we do as Evangelical Christians centers around the gospel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. We have a range of styles — from formal to casual — depending upon the comfort level of the individual. We believe that our God accepts us on the basis of his Son, Jesus Christ, and so we are free to dress as we are comfortable.

What do parents do with their kids?

We have classes for children aged 4 months to 9 years old. In those classes, our children sing songs, do an activity, learn a lesson from the Bible, and play with other children.
