The Word of God is vital to our life as a church. Ever since the beginning of the church, believers have centered their church gatherings around preaching (Acts 2:42). If we are going to grow into Christ likeness, maturity, and if we are going to be equipped to do the work of ministry, we need to constantly by hearing Scripture spoken to us (2 Timothy 3:16).
We also want to hear from all of God’s Word, so the preaching on Friday morning will often follow a consecutive schedule - preaching that goes section by section through a specific book of the Bible. That’s what is reflected in our sermon card. This card gives you our preaching schedule for the next few months. Look it over, print it out, stick it in your Bible, or post it in your house. Read over the passage that is going to be preached next Friday before you come to church that Friday. The hope is that this card will help the people of God come ready to hear the Word of God. With hearts prepared by God’s Word, we will be ready to listen when God speaks to us through the preaching of his Word.
