Serve

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:9–10

The call to serve in the body of Christ is a call for every Christian. The Lord Jesus set the example of humble service through his life, having taken the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7) and by inviting his disciples to follow his example (John 13:15). He calls his people to serve him with gladness and with a whole heart. Serving him is not a way of earning merit from him but a response to the gracious work he has done for us. At Redeemer we have many formal opportunities where members can serve.

We are so grateful for our current volunteers, and as we look ahead, we know that our ability to gather and the opportunity for our church to serve with us is going to expand! And as these opportunities grow, we want to see our different ministry teams grow as well. We encourage you to consider your God-given giftings and serve in any of the following areas of ministry within the church. Simply fill out the volunteer application and a member of our team will be in touch with you.

Redeemer Kids

Come and join our kids’ ministry as we partner with parents in discipling their children. As we share Jesus with them, we pray they would grow to become disciples who will make more disciples from every nation! We are building a team to teach, serve, and partner with families in discipling their children.

Expectations Include: Attending an orientation session to learn about Redeemer Kids and safe ministry practices, observing different classes and roles. Serving on Sundays at least twice a month, serving at one service while attending the other (i.e., serving in Redeemer Kids at 9 am and attending the 11 am service, or vice versa). Attending team meetings and training days.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
