And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:9–10

The call to serve in the body of Christ is a call for every Christian. The Lord Jesus set the example of humble service through his life, having taken the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7) and by inviting his disciples to follow his example (John 13:15). He calls his people to serve him with gladness and with a whole heart. Serving him is not a way of earning merit from him but it is a response to the gracious work he has done for us. At Redeemer we have many formal opportunities where members can serve.

We are so grateful for our current volunteers and as we look ahead, we know that our ability to gather and the opportunity for our church to serve with us is going to expand! And as these opportunities grow, we want to see our different ministry teams grow as well. We encourage you to consider your God-given giftings and to serve in any of the following areas of ministry within the church. Simply fill out the volunteer application and a member of our team will be in touch with you.

Redeemer Kids

Come and join our kids’ ministry as we walk alongside parents in raising a generation to know, see, hear, and honor God! We are building a team of volunteers to help teach, serve, and come alongside families in their pursuit to disciple their children.

Apply To Serve

Redeemer Tweens (10–12 years)

Join our tweens ministry as we seek to lead those who are in between being a kid and a teen, ages 10 to 12 years, toward understanding how the gospel and all its foundations and implications radically impact their daily life.

Time Commitment: Leaders or volunteers serve in groups on Sundays at 9 am.

Redeemer Youth (13–18 years)

Join our youth ministry as we invest in, equip, support, and endeavor to cultivate a culture of discipleship among our students.

Time Commitment: Leaders or volunteers serve in leading the large group or small groups every Friday at 6:30 pm. One-to-one discipleships take place throughout the week.

Member Care Ministry

The Member Care ministry exists to help Redeemer members care for each other by supporting with meals, visits, prayer, assistance with jobs, and other areas. It helps us live out our "one-another" ministry philosophy by enabling us to serve each other and be the hands and feet of our one body.

Time Commitment: Based on your availability.

Connection Team

The connection team serves our church through proactive hospitality, and it intentionally demonstrates love and care to those who come to our gatherings like Christ has shown us. This ministry seeks to help our church attendees feel comfortable and welcomed into our church family and go from first time visitors to active members in our church. From arranging seats, to checking in attendees, to ushering people to their seats as well as ushering them out of the hall in an orderly manner after the gathering, this ministry is vital to the life of our church. The connection team also serves to engage with attendees and directs them to resources like the bookstall, restrooms, etc. Training will be provided by one of our deacons to ensure you are equipped to serve.

Time Commitment: Sundays, once or twice a month, one or both gatherings (depending on number of gatherings and availability).

Bookstall Team

The bookstall team engages with visitors at the bookstall table and helps to recommend resources based on their needs. The bookstall team is also responsible for the set-up of the bookstall table, sales and related logistics, and packing up books and resources following our Sunday gatherings, Redeemer conferences, and other events.

Time Commitment: Sundays, once a month.

Music Team

Our music team serves to lead people in the church in worship of the triune God through music and song. The team’s hope is that this time of worship, through singing, would deeply engage all attendees to be in awe of the living God, and grow in intimacy with him.

Time Commitment: Time commitment varies.

Logistics Team

This ministry seeks to ensure that we are able to gather and worship the Lord together at any given time and venue by transporting, setting up, and tearing down all equipment. The equipment this ministry works with ranges from speakers and backdrops to banners and cables. Those that serve with set-up do not serve with tear-down and vice versa.

Time Commitment: Twice a month, two Sundays in a row. Serves for one of the teams per Sunday (either the Set-up Team or the Tear-down team). Set-up: 5:00–6:00 am; Tear-down: 12:30–1:30 pm (immediately after the second gathering).

Service Coordinator

The service coordinator helps focus attention and eliminate distractions by ensuring all service elements and transition cues are known by everyone involved in the gathering (production team, music team, pastors, Scripture reader, etc.). This role requires a higher level of competency to identify issues/needs and must be quick to offer solutions throughout the gathering so that the gospel can be heard and seen without distraction. Training will be provided by one of our Redeemer staff members to ensure you are equipped to serve.

Time Commitment: Alternating Sundays. Serves for only one of the gatherings. First gathering timings: 8:00–10:30 am; Second gathering timings: 10:00 am–12:30 pm.

Audio Team

The audio team is responsible for the set-up, monitoring, and adjusting of all audio equipment in our Sunday gatherings. The audio team focuses attention and removes distractions by crafting a professional mix and making seamless audio transitions to allow the gospel to be heard through singing and the preaching of God’s Word. Training will be provided by one of our Redeemer staff members to ensure you have all the tools to fully operate by yourself.

Time Commitment: Twice a month, two Sundays in a row.

Slides Operator

The slides operator uses a laptop to display and control slides on all screens in our gatherings, supporting the worship leader and pastors to allow the congregation to worship the Lord without distraction. Training will be provided by one of our Redeemer staff members to ensure you have all the tools to fully operate by yourself.

Time Commitment: Sundays, once a month. Serves for one gathering.

Photography Team

The photography team serves to capture various memories and visuals of the life of our church. Dubai being such a transient location means that while many become closely bonded at Redeemer, for some of them, their seasons are shorter. Having evidence of the Lord’s hand at work in our midst is a great encouragement to those near and far. Capturing memories allows us to look back at the faithfulness of the Lord to build his church here in Dubai and reflecting helps us look forward to the future where those found in Christ will be together forever. Training will be provided by our deaconess of photography.

Time Commitment: Upon request — Sundays gatherings, membership classes, special events (Christmas, baptisms, church anniversaries, etc.)

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
