The book of Hebrews speaks to followers of Jesus who are growing weary, facing opposition and discouragement, and in danger of drifting or departing from their faith. Hebrews encourages these weary saints to keep moving forward by pointing them back. While God has revealed himself in different ways in the past, he has revealed himself finally in Jesus. While God has worked to save in amazing ways through history, God has given us an unshakable salvation in Jesus. We can hold on to Jesus because, while there are many shadows, he is the reality. While many things offer us hope, he is the anchor for our souls who holds on to us. Jesus is our true and better salvation who brings true and better hope to weary saints.

How to Study Effectively

You are free to use these studies in whatever way you find helpful. A suggested way of getting the most from them is to:

  • Read
Read the passage at home by yourself and try to answer the questions in the discussion guide. At the end of each study, write down things you would particularly like to share about the passage with your group or questions you have.

  • Discuss
Meet with others over Zoom or another platform to discuss the passage, working through the questions in the discussion guide and discussing what this means for you. (For instructions on setting up Zoom: redeemerdubai.com/zoom-help-guide)

  • Pray for One Another
Make sure you pray for those you meet with, both for things that flow from the passage and for particular needs in each others lives.
